Volunteers are essential to Carrie-On Day Camp, without their dedication and commitment which they give in abundance, we could not run Camp!  Thank you!

Volunteer Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old
• Physically and mentally capable to supervise and provide for the safety of our campers
• Work effectively with other volunteers
• Interact appropriately with campers and their families

Volunteer Role
Volunteers assist staff in facilitating fun, engaging, and safe activities for our campers and their families. 

• Helping to ensure all camp activity areas are set-up and ready for the campers’ arrival and cleaned up after camp is over
• To attend a Volunteer Orientation session prior to volunteering
• Acting as a positive role model, being encouraging, friendly, and welcoming
• Facilitate activity areas
• Ensuring camp property is respected
• Ensuring the environment for all campers and their families is physically and emotionally safe at all times
• Have FUN!!!!

Volunteer Orientation
Before volunteering at Carrie-On, all volunteers receive training through our orientation program. Volunteer Orientation covers topics including the camp philosophy & policies, important medical information, safety information, and emergency procedures. Volunteers also receive a Volunteer Information Folder including the Camp Manual.
